This page sets out the terms and conditions clients must agree to when working with EnvyMe Book Cover Design.

 

 

Confidentiality
All the information that clients share with us is considered confidential. We will not share this information with any third party, unless requested to do so by our client.

 

Rights

EnvyMe retains the copyright to the complete work and is permitted to display it in their portfolio for promotional purposes.

On completion of payment, EnvyMe will provide client with the final design in either a JPG, PNG or PDF file, granting them with the exclusive license for the final cover design.

 

Alterations

Client agrees that no alterations whatsoever will be made to the final, approved design.

 

Files

Client will receive JPG, PNG and/or PDF files. EnvyMe does not provide PSD files used to create covers due to copyright reasons and restrictions on stock photos.

 

Image Rights

EnvyMe uses stock images which are purchased under Standard License. This means you are limited to a 500,000 print run. The cost of your cover includes the rights to use the complete book cover design to a print run of 500,000 units. Should the client exceed this number, it is their responsibility to contact EnvyMe so that the appropriate licence be obtained at an extra cost.

Custom printing of items such as wall art, mugs, T-shirts, posters, etc are not permitted under the standard license agreement.

Client Responsibilities

It is the clients responsibility to proof their design fully and to order a proof copy of the cover design from their printer before making the book available for sale. In case of any problems or expenses incurred by a client in relation to using the cover design, EnvyMe will not be held responsible for any financial or legal responsibility.

Client must provide EnvyMe with all necessary information, such as, trim size, final page count, paper colour, where the book will be printed and occasionally with a template from their printer or publisher.

 

Payment

No monies will be requested until the client approves the design proof. Once client has approved the design, EnvyMe will invoice client with the full bill which is to be paid on receipt. Failure to pay in full (unless agreed otherwise) within 30 days will result in your design being deleted from our system.

 

Credit

This isn’t essential, but EnvyMe would appreciate a credit within the book on the copyright page and should include our website address.
